Návlek na filtr K&N je vyrobený ze silikonu napuštěného polyesteru. Díky tomu dokáže nejen filtrovat hrubé nečistoty, ale také účinně odpuzovat vozu, aniž by byla omezený průtok vzduchu. Voděodpudivá vrstva má na návleku životnost cca 1-2 roky. Poté návlek funguje již jen jako předřadné filtrační médium proti hrubým nečistotám (například pro off-road použití apod.).
