The coolant additive VP Racing Cool Down™ is designed for both gasoline and diesel engines and works with standard coolant as well as systems using plain water.
Its advanced formula reduces the surface tension of the coolant for excellent heat transfer, lowering engine temperature by up to 30°F (approximately 17°C). Cylinder head temperatures can drop by up to 75°F (approximately 42°C), helping to prevent overheating.
Our coolant additive also lubricates critical components, including water pumps and seals, while protecting against corrosion and electrolysis of all metals, especially aluminum. It meets and exceeds ASTM D3306 specifications, making it a reliable choice for race cars, everyday road vehicles, RVs, and tow vehicles.

Before first use, we recommend treating the cooling system with Frosty Clean to optimize your system’s efficiency and maximize the performance of Cool Down.
INstruction for use
- Ensure the engine is off and cool.
- Add VP Racing Cool Down™ to the radiator.
- Start the engine and set the heater to maximum.
- Let the engine run for approximately 10 minutes to allow VP Racing Cool Down™ to circulate.
